Understanding the differences between B2B and B2C consumers

December 29, 2020

When designing products or services for B2B vs B2C customers, you’re dealing with a whole different set of user behaviors, habits, and, most importantly: a different set of motivations.

Keeping these differences in mind can help you be more effective when designing for these groups.

I think that often the high levels of commitment and tolerance of B2B users actually make it somewhat easier to design for them, whereas the B2C customers can be a lot more finicky -  but I know that’s not always the case. What do you think? Personally, I love the challenge of getting things right for those ultra demanding B2C customers.
